Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American theater and film actress. The actress Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been working professionally for 27 years. She first made an appearance by performing onstage in an off-Broadway production of The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in 1990. The show was later adapted to her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she earned her breakthrough in a role as a secondary character in The Basic Instinct. In the film The Firm however that she was chosen as the leading female character for the first occasion, and it was against other stars such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s she collaborated with famous actors from the industry, such as Gwyneth Palow for Sliding Door Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes Julie Andrews Relative Values. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally famous crime drama that is a police procedural Criminal Minds.
